William Korman, who has practiced law in the United States and Israel for over three decades, has spent the last 8 years building a small but diverse private law practice in Israel. He has counseled and represented clients from Israel and abroad in litigation, transactional, corporate, and antitrust matters. He regularly provides antitrust legal advice and services to multinational companies in the local aspects of foreign-to-foreign mergers and international cartel investigations.
Before establishing Korman-Oren, Bill worked as associate at Shine, Hunter & Co. in Tel Aviv where he led the firm’s antitrust practice. Prior to moving to Israel in the mid-1990s, he was a litigator at major firms in the United States, including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Bill graduated from Brooklyn Law School (cum laude) with a J.D. in 1981 where he served as Editor and Senior Editor on the Brooklyn Law Review. In addition he has an M.P.A. from New York University’s Graduate School of Public Administration (1976) and a B.S. from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York (cum laude) in 1973.
Bill is admitted to the bar in the States of Israel, New York, and New Jersey as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.
Bill has also served on the boards of directors and audit committees of Psagot Provident Funds Ltd., and Psagot Securities Ltd., each of them the market leader in its field and both owned by the largest investment house in Israel. He also served as a director of two local subsidiaries of Tyco International.
