LL.M. in Administrative Law from Universidad del Rosario (1988) and Master of Laws in International, Commercial and European Law, University of Sheffield – UK (2002). Mr Cortázar-Mora was in-house lawyer of Concasa and of the National Plan of Rehabilitation of the Presidency of the Republic, Director of the Department of Legal Studies of TELECOM and CEO of FOCINE. Since 1993 he has been a private legal advisor. Author of “Towards a New Antitrust Law in Colombia” (2003), as well as other essays related to Competition and International Trade Law.
Co-founder of “International Law – Revista Colombiana de Derecho Internacional” (2003). Founding member of the Colombian Institute of Competition Law (1998), member of the International Law Association (ILA) and the Academic Society for Competition Law ASCOLA. His practice includes, among others, advising clients in antitrust law and international trade law matters, the drafting of legal opinions regarding anti-competitive practices, rights and duties derived from multilateral and regional trade agreements (WTO Law, CAN, G-3, etc.), administrative and judicial procedures before competition authorities and international trade authorities (antidumping and countervailing duties, technical barriers to trade, etc).
