Ursula Rath is a partner at Schoenherr in its Vienna office where she specialises in (equity and debt) capi-tal markets transactions, investment funds and financial services, including restructuring transactions and financial services related M&A deals. Ursula has frequently advised issuers, selling shareholders, banks and other financial institutions and investors on stock exchange listings, secondary offerings, private placements, capital markets law disclosure requirements, in- and outbound financial services, compli-ance, licensing and conduct of business requirements. She covers the full range of asset management and investment fund work, such as structuring and establishment funds (UCITS and non-UCITS, limited partnership interests, open and closed-ended funds), offering & marketing of fund products, regulation and outsourcing. After graduation from the University of Vienna (Dr. iur. 2001) and following two years of professional experience with a Vienna-based corporate law firm, Ursula earned a post-graduate degree (LL.M. 2003) from the London School of Economics and Political Science before joining the firm in 2003. She regularly contributes to national and international journals and has published various articles on banking, capital markets and financial services law. Ursula recently authored the Austrian chapters of the PLC Cross-border Capital Markets Handbook 2010/11 and Getting the Deal Through – Securities Finance.
