Thomas Felsberg is the founding partner of the law firm Felsberg, Pedretti e Mannrich Advogados e Consultores Legais. He has extensive experience in international commercial law, especially in domestic and cross-border litigation and arbitration. Thomas Felsberg is also the head of the firm’s global insolvency practice, having assisted domestic and foreign clients in restructuring debts up to US$ 2 billion. As a member of the American College of Bankruptcy, the chair of TMA-Brazil and a board member of the International Insolvency Institute, Thomas Felsberg is a leading supporter and exponent of the movement for modernization of insolvency laws in Brazil and elsewhere. He actively participated in the drafting of the Brazilian Bankruptcy Law, enacted in 2005, and is currently involved in the efforts toward its revision, The firm has participated or participates in almost all of the major reorganizations effected under the new law, representing both debtors and creditors.
