Kenji Utsumi is a partner at Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu. Mr. Utsumi represents domestic and foreign clients in a wide variety of commercial real estate and corporate transactions. He regularly counsels a number of TSE listed J-REIT clients, as their main legal counsel, and advises on J-REIT formation, public offering of J-REIT shares, M&A and restructuring of J-REITs. He has substantial experience in real estate private funds and has represented fund arrangers, fund investors, lenders and tenants. Mr. Utsumi also regularly represents various domestic and foreign companies, including pharmaceutical companies, as their main legal counsel, on domestic and cross-border M&A and joint venture transactions, and provides advice on a variety of legal matters. His expertise also encompasses pharmaceutical and life science regulations.
