Mr. Roberto Hernández –managing partner of COMAD- is a recognized expert in international construction law (contracting and disputes), international public procurement law and mexican administrative law. He is a graduate from the Universidad Panamericana Law School with education in other universities such as the University of California (Davis and Berkeley) and the University of Florida (Gainesville).

He chaired the International Construction Projects Committee (ICP) of the International Bar Association during 2009-2011; currently chairs the construction disputes resolution committee of ICC Mexico and is a member of the steering committee of the American Bar Association Construction Forum. He is currently recognized by international independent publications such as WhosWhoLegal, Chambers and Partners and Euromoney .

He was the consulting editor of the book “Public Procurement: a guide to best practice” published by Globelaw and Business (London) as well as co-authored of the book “International Construction Law” published by the American Bar Association. He is also the only columnist of Construction Law in the Time Group Magazine “Obras” specialized in the construction sector.

Devoted to transparency and ethical compliance, he also currently chairs the ICC Mexico anticorruption Committee and is part of the International Commission where he presented an anticorruption clause that is currently used by companies of different sectors including the engineering and construction sectors in their contracts.

He has been an invited speaker in more than 15 countries in conferences related to construction, procurement and anticorruption and he usually writes in national and international publications. He also a teacher at a postgraduate level in the subjects of: Public Procurement, Energy Law, Anticorruption and Dispute Boards.

He has acted as Sole Dispute Adjudicator construction project contracted under the FIDIC.Red Book.
