David Aversten specialises in advising corporations and private equity- and venture capital- funds in mergers and acquisitions and investments. Recent deals include the divestment of property portfolios including 11,100 residential flats to Willhem AB (Första AP-fonden) for a value of approximately SEK 7 billion; the acquisition of an IT-consultancy firm by a global software and technologies company (a portfolio company of KKR, Bain Capital and others); the acquisition of a Malta based on-line gaming business by one of Swedens largest media houses from private equity sellers and founders; transactional work and other instructions for a number of Swedish and international private equity houses and corporate clients. David has extensive experience from cross-border transactions in a wide range of business sectors with particular experience from the IT- telecommunications and media sector as well as the energy sector. He regularly advices clients within the IT, telecommunications and media sector as well as the energy sector on transaction related issues as well as general commercial and legal issues. David is also experienced in real estate transactions. David Aversten was highly recommended at the Legal Experts EMEA, 2011 in the section Corporate and M&A as he receives consistent praise from clients: “He is excellent, he has strong analytical skills and a good commercial sense, and his management of the process was fantastic.” In Chambers Europe 2011, Corporate/M&A, David Aversten was ranked in Band 2 and described as a “skilful practitioner who impresses clients with his ‘energy and drive.”
