Experience:
Law degree from San Pablo-CEU University of Madrid (1988). Diploma in High European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges (1991) and Master’s Degree in Common Law Studies from the University of Georgetown (1992). Member of the Madrid Bar Association (1988) and of the Georgetown Foreign Lawyers’ Group (1992). He started his career as a lawyer in the Belgian law firm Loeff Claeys Verbeke. Subsequently, he joined the International Legal Department of Banco Santander, where he worked for seven years being the Head of the Legal Department for Europe and Affiliate Companies of the Bank when he left. In 1999 he co-founded as partner the opening of the Spanish office of SJ Berwin where he remained until the end of 2002. In October 2005 he merged his own law with Rodés & Sala becoming since then the head partner of its Corporate Finance Department. He joined BROSETA Abogados as partner in September 2009. International legal publications such as European Legal Experts/Legal 500, Chambers Global or Plc Which Lawyer name Julio Veloso leading lawyer in Spain in Private Equity/Venture Capital. He is also considered by European Legal Experts/Legal 500 to be leading lawyer in Spain in Banking and Finance, Corporate and Commercial and EU and Competition He is a also a lecturer in the Master in International Business Law (MIBL) at the CEU San Pablo University and in the Master of Structured Finance and Venture Capital/Private Equity at the Instituto de Empresa (IE).
