Vladimir M Rybakov, a managing partner of IP Law Firm ARS-Patent, serves from 1994 as the firm's director. Chair of the patent group, he concentrates his practice on counselling and representing clients in domestic and international patent procurement, licensing and enforcement matters, primarily in mechanics and physics, with extensive experience in dealing with inventions of various field of technologies.

Mr Rybakov received his MSc in mechanical engineering from St Petersburg State Baltic Technical University in 1974 and began his career as an engineer in St Petersburg. Prior to entering private practice, Mr Rybakov managed intellectual property departments of some state scientific-research institutes where, while obtaining his degree of patent agent, with distinction, at Intellectual Property and Innovations Institute in 1986, he gained ten years of experience in the design, construction, electromechanical and electrical industry in such diverse fields as aviation, laser technology, control systems and power generation. In 1993 he had an internship in the German patent firm "Glawe, Delfs, Moll and Partners".

Mr Rybakov is registered to practise before the Russian and Eurasian patent offices. Alongside with the huge prosecution experience with the Russian and Eurasian Patent Offices he gained a practice in litigation protecting both Russian and foreign companies in infringement cases or disputing in court Patent Office decisions.

Being a member of AIPPI, FICPI, LES, Association of the Russian Patent Attorneys, he takes part on a regular basis in International meetings making presentations on the Russian and Eurasian patent legislation and practice.
