Alexey Frolov is a partner in the Moscow office of Baker & McKenzie. He specialises in corporate, commercial and natural resources law. Mr Frolov is member of the firm’s Global Oil & Gas Steering Committee where he is responsible for Russia & the CIS region. He is recommended by leading legal directories — including Chambers Europe, PLC Which Lawyer? and Who’s Who Legal — and has been cited by his peers and clients for his fluent knowledge of natural resources law. Before joining the firm in 2000, Mr Frolov worked for an international oil company in central Asia.
Mr Frolov focuses his practice on corporate, commercial and natural resources law. His track record includes advising Western and Russian companies on acquisitions of oil, gas and mining assets, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and production sharing agreements. Mr Frolov graduated from the Moscow State Linguistic University in 1995 with honours and received his law degree with honours in 2000 from the Moscow State Legal Academy. Mr Frolov received his LLM degree from Harvard Law School in 2006.
