Nurgul Abdreyeva is an associate at the Almaty office of Baker & McKenzie. She specialises in mergers and acquisitions, energy and natural resources. Ms Abdreyeva has extensive experience advising clients on corporate and commercial law matters, power, oil and gas, metals and mining law issues and carrying out pre-acquisition due diligence in the framework of complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Ms Abdreyeva graduated with honours from Kazakh Humanitarian Law University and was admitted to practice in 2002. From 2006 to 2007 winning the Japanese Government Scholarship Ms Abdreyeva studied in the Tokai University in Kanagawa prefecture, Japan. She received her PhD in Law in 2008. Ms Abdreyeva is fluent in English, Japanese, Russian and Kazakh.
