Hubert André-Dumont has been a business lawyer for thirty years. His practice includes commercial law, corporate law, real estate and construction law, with particular experience in mining law (especially in French speaking Africa), as well as in mergers and acquisitions. He speaks French, English and Dutch fluently, with a good understanding of German and Spanish. Hubert André-Dumont has written numerous articles on mining and other international business law topics and is an officer of the Mining Committee of the International Bar Association. A member of the Brussels Bar since 1982, he holds a Lic. Jur. degree in law (UCL, Belgium) and a master of laws (Bristol, UK). Co-founder of the law firm “Cannart André-Dumont”, he joined the American law firm McGuireWoods LLP in 2002, along with his team. He is the managing partner of the Brussels office. Also active in the charitable sector, Hubert André-Dumont is an officer of various humanitarian NGOs active in Belgium and Central Africa.
