Kym Livesley is head of Gadens Lawyers’ national energy and resources group. Kym has over 30 years experience as a corporate advisory and M&A lawyer and regularly provides advice and strategic legal direction on high profile transactions in the energy and resources, industrial and projects sectors. Among other affiliations, Kym is a former National President of the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association (AMPLA), member of the Minerals Council NSW and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
Kym has particular expertise in:
- mergers and acquisitions, acting for buyers, sellers and financiers;
- corporate/commercial advice, particularly in the manufacturing, energy and resources industries in Australia and Asia Pacific, for listed and private corporates;
- takeovers, capital raising, IPOs, directors duties and corporate governance;
- negotiating and advising on project infrastructure transactions, JVAs, JOAs, alliances and shareholder agreements, and corporate structuring, including private equity transactions; and
- native title, aboriginal land rights and cultural heritage issues.
