Quak Fi Ling is a partner in the corporate/mergers & acquisitions practice. Her main practice areas are mergers and acquisitions, general corporate and commercial work.

Transactions of significance that Fi Ling has been involved in include the takeovers and privatisation of Sihuan Pharmaceutical Holdings Group Ltd. and Unisteel Technology Ltd., and the delisting of Soilbuild Group Holdings Ltd. and Hyflux Water Trust. Other notable transactions include acting for Charles & Keith Group in relation to the investment by L Capital Asia LLC (a private equity fund sponsored by luxury group LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A.) and the restructuring of the Charles & Keith group of companies; Bain Capital Ltd., as Singapore counsel, in its acquisition of The Dow Chemical Company’s Styron unit, the world’s biggest producer of polystyrene plastic, for about US$1.63 billion; and Barinal N.V., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Usaha Tegas Sdn. Bhd., in the sale of its entire interest in OUE Realty Pte. Ltd. and Overseas Union Enterprise Limited to Golden Concord Asia Limited, an investment unit of Indonesia’s Lippo Group for approximately S$721 million.
