Cristián Eyzaguirre is a partner of Carey y Cía.´s Corporate Group. His practice consists chiefly of representing local and foreign clients with various kinds of mergers and acquisitions transactions, including tender offers, private equity and asset acquisitions, joint ventures, securities regulation and corporate governance.
In 2005 and 2006 he worked as a foreign associate with the New York law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, in the M&A Group. He also worked as foreign associate in the São Paulo law firm of Pinheiro Neto Advogados,in the Corporate Group during the third quarter of 2006.
Mr Eyzaguirre is a Professor of Commercial Law and Corporations at the Universidad Alberto Hurtado School of Law and he has taught courses on securities and mergers and acquisitions at other universities
Mr Eyzaguirre studied law at the Universidad de Chile, graduating with maximum distinction. He was admitted to the bar in 2001. He received a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C. (2002). He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association.
