Theodoros Skouzos, born in 1975, is a practicing advocate, registered in the Athens Bar Association, Greece. His academic path involved universities of three different European countries. In 1994 he started the LL.B exempting with French Law at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle. This course, apart from the core LL.B. units included French law and also embodied the Legal Practice Course. The 3rd Academic year of the LL.B. Exempting with French Law took place in the University of Orleans, France, where Theodoros was honored with the title of best foreign student subscribed at that year. At the end of the fourth year, after completing his dissertation on the comparison of company types in the Common law and the French system, he qualified with the LL.B, the exemption from the Legal Practice Course and a “Licence en droit”. During the academic year 1998-1999 Theodoros was subscribed at the LL.M in European Union Business Law of the University of Amsterdam. His thesis was in the topic of transfer pricing in the European Union and the need for developing new rules. After obtaining the LL.M., Theodoros returned to Greece to complete his military service. He qualified and subsequently exited the terrestrial army force as a sergeant of the intelligence unit. Then he was subscribed as a trainee and in 2002, after passing the necessary examination, was licensed as an Advocate by the Athens Bar Association. Since then he has been practicing commercial and tax law at the family practice founded by his father Iason (www.taxlaw.gr), who is also advocate specialized in tax law. Between the years 2003-2007 Theodoros was legal counsel for Halyvourgiki S.A. the oldest steel industry in Greece. Theodoros is a founding member of the Association of International Tax Consultants (www.aitc-pro.com).
