Partner at Spaczynski, Szczepaniak i Wspólnicy, attorney at law, member of the District Chamber of Legal Counsels in Poznan, graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (law, management and marketing), holds Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College, London, and Practice Diploma in International Competition Law (International Diploma Programme – International Bar Association & the College of Law of England and Wales). Member of International Bar Association and Competition Law Association. Member of the management board of Polish Wind Energy Association.
In the years 2001-2006 he managed the legal department of ExxonMobil in Poland. In 2006-2009 Piotr was of-counsel and head of the Energy Department at GWM – Grynhoff, Wozny, Malinski law firm in Warsaw.
Piotr has educational background and professional experience in the fields of law, management and marketing. His major specialization is legal advisory to energy enterprises and mining entities in all aspects of their operations. He represents entrepreneurs in, i.a., concession proceedings, environmental proceedings and investment proceedings. On many occasions he spoke at conferences on energy, mining and geological law. His additional specialization is competition law. In this respect he conducted due diligence reviews of distribution structures for compliance with European and Polish competition law. He advised on the issues related to the abuse of dominant position, mergers and acquisitions and prohibited agreements. He implemented Antitrust Compliance Programs and carried out internal investigations within business entities connected with suspected breaches of these regulations. He lectures on competition law, corporate separateness, anti boycott laws and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
