Jerzy Baehr is a legal counsel, a member of the Circuit Chamber of Legal Counsels in Poznan, and a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University. He studied in Oxford, Leyden and Trident. In 1992, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation. He is also a co-author of highly valued commentaries on energy law and the Public Procurement Act, as well as publications on competition law. For many years, he was an expert at the Ownership Transformation Council, an advisory body to the Prime Minister, as well as being a Supervisory Board member in such companies as Zaklady Chemiczne Police S.A., XI NFI S.A. or Huta Szkla Ujscie S.A.
Jerzy Baehr has been a senior partner in WKB Wiercinski, Kwiecinski, Baehr since January 2004.
He specializes in providing legal services to businesses in the energy industry, and is an expert on energy law, privatization, mergers & acquisitions, public procurement law and anti-monopoly law. During his work, he has provided advice to the Polish Electricity Association and other energy business organizations and led several projects to implement EU directives. He was responsible for conducting a comparative study on nuclear law for the Ministry of Economy. He has provided services to the leading Polish and foreign energy undertakings, including EDF, GDF SUEZ, VATTENFALL, RWE, TAURON, ENEA and many others.
Jerzy Baehr is a member of the board of Associated European Energy Consultants.
