Jorge Jaeckel is a partner at Posse, Herrera & Ruiz. He heads the Competition practice area.
Jorge has more than 20 years experience representing foreign and domestic clients on antitrust law, unfair competition, market strategies, advertising, entertainment, copyrights and industrial property.
Between 2003 and 2005 he was Deputy Superintendent for the Promotion of Competition at the Industry and Commerce Superintendence.
Jorge teaches Competition Law to undergraduate level in Universidad Javeriana, where he is also a professor on the Competition Graduate program and in the Economic Law master. He has also been a law professor at Universidad de los Andes and Politécnico Grancolombiano and is the author of several publications related to unfair competition, misleading advertising and consumer protection, among others.
He has a J.D. from Universidad Javeriana and a specialization in Business Law from the same university. He speaks Spanish and English.
