Kristin Stammer is a partner specialising in commercial transactions involving intellectual property, media and technology. Kristin joined Freehills in 1996 and has been a partner since 2001.

Kristin has experience in a wide range of commercial transactions including:

• the acquisition and licensing of trade marks, copyright, patents, technology, know-how, plant breeders’ rights and designs
• IP aspects of acquisitions, sales and joint ventures
• Media, content, broadcasting, production and publishing agreements
• commercialisation agreements such as research, evaluation, licensing, distribution, supply, sponsorship, co-branding agreements
• franchising agreements and advice on the Franchising Code
• split brand/co-existence arrangements
• IP due diligences and practical IP management policies
• IP ownership and financing structures.

Kristin works with clients to manage, identify and exploit possible revenue opportunities for their IP.

Kristin has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sydney and a Master of Laws (Intellectual Property) with Distinction from LSE.
