Bruce Leonard is the chair, a director and a founding member of the International Insolvency Institute, an invitational association of senior insolvency professionals from 65 countries, and past chair of the IBA’s Committee on Insolvency and Creditors’ Rights (comprising 1,200 lawyers from over 80 countries). He was the founder of and served as the chair and a director of The Insolvency Institute of Canada, a limited membership invitational organisation of senior insolvency professionals in Canada.

Mr Leonard is the only international member of the United States National Bankruptcy Conference, and serves as chair of the Conference’s International Committee. He is a fellow and a director of the American College of Bankruptcy and co-chair of the College’s International Committee. Mr Leonard has been named to Euromoney’s Best of the Best listings since 2002 (the first listing) as one of the world’s top 25 insolvency and restructuring lawyers and appears regularly in the listings of top insolvency and restructuring lawyers that are published in Europe and North America.
