Bruno Floriani was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1984 and is a member of the Executive Committee of Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon, L.L.P., and the Chair of its Franchising, Licensing and Technology practice areas.

Mr. Floriani has extensive experience in structuring hybrid franchising, licensing and joint venture arrangements to ensure the international expansion of the franchising, licensing and distribution networks of the firm’s clients in over 30 countries. His experience in international commercial matters, combined with his expertise with distribution, franchising, licensing and technology transfer issues, allows him to provide his clients with a broad and invaluable perspective on matters which concern them.

Mr. Floriani has lectured extensively at various conferences in many different countries on intellectual property matters, domestic and international licensing, franchising, joint ventures, distribution and privacy matters and has written extensively in various national and international legal journals and trade periodicals. He has also worked with several international organizations, including Unidroit of the United Nations, in the elaboration of various studies and comparative analyses of the laws of various jurisdictions relating to certain specific industries.

He was recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada, in each of its 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Editions, as one of the best lawyers in the Technology Law Sector in Canada. Mr. Floriani is a member of the Canadian Franchise Association, the International Franchise Association, the Licensing Executive Society, the Canadian Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
