Manuel E. Tron is a licensed lawyer specialized in International Taxation. He is the founding partner of Tron Abogados, S.C., where he is dedicated to tax consulting and litigation.
He graduated from the “Universidad Panamericana”, where he obtained postgraduate specialty degrees in both Corporate and Business Law and Tax Law. Additionally, he participated in the International Tax Institute at the University of Wisconsin Law School (United States of America).
He has been professor of tax law in many universities, lecturer of international tax issues, and author of numerous articles on taxation, both in Mexico and abroad. He is author of the book “El Régimen Fiscal de los Extranjeros en México” (The Tax Treatment of Non-residents in Mexico), and of the Mexican chapter of the book “The Taxation of Permanent Establishments”, published by the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation.
He is the current President of the International Fiscal Association. He was an active member of that association’s Permanent Scientific Committee for ten consecutive years. He also chaired the Board of Directors and the Studies and Documentation Committee of the Mexican Branch of the association for several years, and was also a member of the Tax Commission at the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants.
