Dmitry Kurochkin is the head of the litigation and arbitration practice at Herbert Smith in Moscow. His experience extends to general commercial, corporate, shareholder, employment, regulatory and other disputes, with both domestic and international dimensions. Dmitry’s practice also covers enforcement proceedings, recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards and insolvency litigation.
Dmitry graduated from the international law faculty of the Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO) and received a Master of Laws from the University of Frankfurt am Main. He joined the firm in 2002 after almost a decade working for other western law firms and was elected to the partnership in 2004. Dmitry lectures on international commercial arbitration at MGIMO and acts as an arbitrator in international disputes.
