Pallavi S. Shroff is a Senior Partner at Amarchand Mangaldas and heads the Firm’s Competition Law Practice. Mrs. Shroff has nearly 30 years experience in advising high-profile clients on contentious matters relating to litigation, arbitration and competition law. As a member of the high-powered S.V.S Raghavan Committee, she played a key role in formulating Indian competition law and policy. Mrs. Shroff is an internationally well-renowned competition law practitioner and regularly speaks at several national and international forums. At an advisory level, Mrs. Shroff is called upon regularly by Government departments and ministries to advise on issues, including, multi-lateral competition policy, WTO related strategy, the formulation and drafting of policy documents. She has also contributed to various international competition law publications. Mrs. Shroff has been recognized by Asia Legal 500 for her “leading practice in dispute resolution and litigation” and PLC Which Lawyer?, commends her as one “experienced in corporate disputes and with solid competition law experience primarily in support of a general corporate and commercial practice.” She has also been rated by the Who’s Who Legal of Commercial Arbitrators, “as one of three leading practitioners involved with arbitration”. She has been recently selected to feature in the inaugural edition of the Guide to the World’s Leading Women in Business Law – the first-ever guide dedicated to the world’s leading female practitioners, under Commercial Arbitration category; Asialaw Leading Lawyers 2011; PLC Dispute Resolution Handbook 2011; PLC Competition Handbook 2011; Who’s Who Legal of Competition Lawyers 2011 etc. She was also recently awarded with the Leading Woman Consultant Award at Women Leaders Conference 2010. An economics graduate from Delhi University, an MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute and a LLB graduate from the Government Law College, Mumbai, Mrs. Shroff joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 1981.
